This sweepstake is being run for fun and as a fund raiser by the Haslemere Local Committee of Cancer Research UK. The organisers have no connection with the organisers of Rugby World Cup 2003. This web space is donated. You can see the rules here.
The final kitty was £220; £110 of this goes to Cancer Research UK. We also received £25 in donations. Thank you! Also a special thank you to Nick Rowley who copied and distributed the printed form.
The winner was David Hall of West Sussex. His entry 'albert' had an incredible 47 match predictions out of 48 correct. David expected England to win 26-18 so he gained an extra 13 bonus points out of 20 for the result and had a total score of 92. His prize is £77.
Second, receiving £22, was Mr B J Taunton of West Sussex with 87 points, predicting 21-19 in the final. Third, winning £11, was Richard Wells of Brighton with 82 points who predicted 27-24.
